At Arkhi Care, we often say that great design isn’t just about aesthetics — it’s about creating spaces that genuinely improve people’s lives. One of our recent projects illustrates this beautifully through a single, thoughtful architectural detail: the roof.
In this case, the roof wasn’t just a practical necessity. We designed a generous overhang that wraps around much of the building, transforming how the space is used every day. For our client, the ability to spend time outdoors, especially when they feel well, is deeply important. The roof canopy provides shade, shelter, and year-round access to the outdoors.
It allows them to follow the path of the sun throughout the day, enjoy fresh air, and stay connected to nature, regardless of the weather. These simple pleasures, like sitting outside during a sunny morning or watching the rain from under cover, can have a profound impact on wellbeing.
One key detail: the canopy frames a beautiful view of the local ridge, visible from both the bedroom and family areas. It’s a daily connection to the wider landscape and a powerful reminder that functional design can, and should, also be emotionally meaningful.
At Arkhi Care, we believe no part of the home should be off-limits. Every corner should contribute to comfort, dignity, and independence. Whether through a roof, a window, or a pathway, great design makes space not only for care, but for life itself.
